Found a growth on my dog

Today I found some kind of growth or almost like a fleshy mole but has no color to it on my dogs right front shoulder.
At first I thought it was a large fat tick attached to him, but then noticed it had no legs. There is also a lump around the area about the size of a nickel. It doesn't seem to hurt him when touched but I am very concerned.
If anybody can help it would be appreciated.
