what are the side effects of taking predisolone over many years

I have been taking steroids for many years due to a chronic chest complaint, I cannot function without them, I am also a diabetic on large doses of insulin, for about a year now I am suffering many days with terrible nausea and sickness, really bad, I cannot move from my bed and feel totally drained, could this be connected to my steriod intake.
