husband's skin rash/sores

My husband went to the dentist to have his teeth cleaned. Upon complaining that it was still painful after a numbing injection, he was given a second injection. Within a few hours his neck on the side of the injection was broken out in hives. He was prescribed an antihistimine. The hives eventually went away. Weeks later he broke out again on the neck and also a patch on his arm. Also both his thumbs became horribly infected. He went to a Dermatologist, who said it was eczema and prescribed Protopic and Erythomyacin. It got worse and the outer rim of his ear started oozing and got crusty. The doctor prescribed Bactoban. This has been going on for a year or more. It recently turned into patches all over his body of red pimples that turn into brown pussy looking sores. A second doctor did a skin biopsy and the lab was puzzled.
They finally came up with Dermatitis Epidermas Pustular Dermatitis. He is now on a cortisteroid cream, an antibiotic and an antihistimine. Now his breasts are tender and swollen and he has tiny yellowish pimples around the nipples. What is the cause of this, is it curable or just controllable. No one seems to know much about it and just say it is in his system and not contagious. Also, it is rather rare. Please help. Oh yes, the itching is almost unbearable. Thank you. Kathleen Asencio |
