Numbness of the feet

I've been taking 600mg of Gemfibrozil twice a day for about a couple years. In the past few months I've had
severe numbness in both feet and I've been sent to a
Pain Mangement Dr. and he says it caused by the arithritis in my back pinching the nerve to my feet.
He put me on Vicodin and says I'll probably have to have a Lumbar Epidural. What I want to know could the
Gemfibrozil be causing my feet to be numb instead?
