Pain running bilaterally down from each armpit and under breast area

By Cindy from Hancock, MI on August 01, 2006 in Connective Tissue Disease

My 30 year old daughter was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disorder as a junior in High School. She has had no problems until more recently with some joint discomfort and sores on her fingers. She was prescribed a brief treatment with Prednisone. Two years ago she contracted Fifths Disease while teaching school. Question- She has complained now for quite a while about discomfort under both armpits extending down the sides of her breasts and under her breasts. There are no palpable lumps. She finds it uncomfortable to even wear a bra due to the pressure. She visited her OB/Gyn recently who will do a mammogram and chest x-ray. She is wondering if this discomfort may be contributed to her connective tissue disorder in some way or from her having had Fifths Disease? Thank you
