My cat is off balance. Walks with head tilted, falls down frequently. Appears drunk

My cat came in from outdoors, and appeared drunk. We were out of town and when she came in Friday night this way, a neighbor said she had been like that all day. It has been 48 hours and she is still like this. She is eating and drinking, and purring when we pet her. She is also urinating, but something is definitely wrong. I plan on taking her to the vet in the morning, but wondered if possibly she is experiencing some neurological damage from ingesting a lizard or toad. Has anyone ever had this happen, and is the damage temporary? |
