Skin disorders question

Hi,
Would you please let me know what the name of the skin condtion I am experiencing. On the palm of my hand a small round weakening of the skin appeared. It is red and dry, and once it begins to heal, it expands and the circle becomes larger. I would guess the first couple of skin layers are gone.
