how long do the side effects of prednislone stay in the body after 5 days treatment

I have just completed 5 days of treatment with prednisolone for asthma and I would like to know how long I will experience side effects and if any of them cause permanent damage. I feel weak and shaky and my vision is somewhat blurred.
