Will ringworm spread and how to make it go away faster

I recently had a weird circle spot on my knee, the doctor told my mother to get cream from the store for it if it wasn't that bad. It went away after about 2 weeks, but now another spot has shown up on my knee, I'm treating it with the cream but I'm a very nervous person and im afriad that it will spread to my scalp and nails and to my friends.
My first question is: If I have ringworm on my body, is it very likeley to spread to my scalp?
My second question what can i do to make it go away faster?
Please help me i have no clue what to do and by the pitures I've seen on how bad it is, I'm very scared. If you can, please send a reply back to my email adress that would be extremelly helpfull. Thank you for your time.
