Episiotomy and stitches

I had an episiotomy after the birth of my fourth child. Four days later (two days after I came home) the stitches fell out. I went to the emergency room and the doctor's told me there was nothing that could be done. When I saw my ob/gyn at the four week check-up he also said nothing could be done to fix this problem. Is there anything that can be done? Which doctor would I consult, an ob/gyn or a plastic surgeon? Thank you for your help sue riggins |
