Is Ayurveda approved by the Ontario College of Physicians and covered by OHIP?

I am researching Ayurveda for an assignment and finding it very difficult to get some of the information I need. I need to know if Ayurveda is widely practised in Canada, if it is covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan, and if the Ontario College of physicians approves of Ayurveda. The assignment is to research an "alternative" therapy and I am very interested in Ayurvedic philosophies. If someone is able to find this information, it would make it possible for me to write my assignment on the practise of Ayurveda.
