symtoms of cushing disease in my son

Should my son be tested for cushing syndrome? He is 22 years old, has really always had a rounder face and large head, but in the past few months, i have noticed he has put on weight in his upper body, his neck is very thick, and his face looks as if he has been on large doses of predinsone. He is 6 ft 2 inches and has always been thin except for his larger head and round face. He live away from home, but when i recently visted him, his face looked abnormally swollen and out of perportion for the rest of his body. He is sedatary and smokes. In your expertise, should he be tested for cushings and other harmone related disorders such as thyroid? thank you. debbie mapes |
