symptoms of ringworm but doesn't itch

By diane from co. on September 01, 2005 in Ringworm

I have symptoms of ringworm, however it does not itch. If I could'nt see it, I would'nt even know it was there. Can you have this without having the itching? or is this some thing else? it drys up and peels off and goes away, but looks just like ringworm. Thank you for your time, as I have been very concerned with this, however, I have had 3 Dr.s look at it and didnt know what it was.

My doctor says mine is a dry skin condition

I was wondering if your question was ever answered. I have similar condition, but it does not itch. I was treating it with Lotromin AF(which is antifungal) and it seems to take care of it, but every doctor I've seen (3 in seven years) says it's not fungal, but a dry skin condition. But it keeps appearing in different areas (back of leg, front of leg, upper leg, lower leg, back) usually one at a time and no one else in family has it. They start out small, little circles and grow with skin flaking, looks just like ring worm because of the circles, but doesn't itch either. Not sure what to do about it. It's ugly...As a child I had psorisis on the scalp, but that's gone and this skin condition happened right before I gave birth to first child. Thought it might be hormonal, but no one can really tell me what it is or how to get rid of it for good or just to get it cleared up fast...
