my dog has been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease
By Amy Koch from US on August 29, 2005 in Cushing's Syndrome
He is part of my family and I want to do everything that I can for him. However, I do not have a lot of money. I have been reading about Trilostane. I think this would be the best option. I would like to find a research center in the US that is studying the effects of this drug for dogs with cushings disease as it seems to have the potential to help people as well.
I need to someone to administer this drug to him and assist me in monitoring him. I want him to go peacefully and not in pain, although my vet says that he isn't in any. But, I know that he knows something is wrong. I have to make some decisions quickly, so a prompt response would be appreciated.
I am also willing to give his body to research ... after he goes with me. Please let me know if there is a place I could contact to participate in a research study that may offer him a chance to be comfotable for a while.
Thank you,
Amy Koch
