beta blocker side effect

Hi. I am asking this question for my Mother who lives in England. I don't know which one she is on but she has been on it for 18 months now and has noticed that her hair line becomes very "itchy" like something is crawling under the skin and she has a tickly cough but is otherwise very healthy. Is this a normal side effect for a beta blocker?
